DYC 20
A design on par with the most premium DYC
Scroll down
Following 20 years of patient maturation in a single American oak barrel, DYC 20 represents the brand's most premium edition, crafted to celebrate the excellent quality and exquisite know-how of our country.
Challenge
Morillas was set the challenge of creating and designing the packaging for this limited edition in collaboration with Lorenzo Caprile, renowned designer and maestro of Spanish haute couture.
Approach
Taking inspiration from Caprile’s signature elements work—his iconic red color, rich textures and distinctive fabrics—we adopted the technical and creative processes of an atelier. The result is a design that elegantly fuses baroque style with classical Spanish art, reflecting Caprile's essence and sophistication.
To give shape to this exclusive bottle, inspired by traditional liqueur bottles, we partnered with the Real Fábrica de La Granja, where master blowers crafted each of the 70 pieces with a unique distinction. Using a blowing cane and mold specially designed for the occasion, each bottle acquires a unique and unrepeatable character.
The delicate hand-cut glass details evoke the majestic peaks of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range where this whisky is aged for 20 years, at an altitude of 1,036 meters. The design also reflects the flowing Eresma River, whose water enhances the aromatic richness of DYC whisky, achieving a harmonious fusion of nature and art.
Solution
